Meet Arda: Swimming with Purpose

Starting his journey at the age of six, Arda has transformed a lifelong passion into a series of international-level achievements. At 15, he earned the title of Cross-Continental Swimmer by completing the 6.5 km Bosphorus crossing in Istanbul in 56 minutes. At age 16, he further demonstrated his endurance by finishing the demanding 28.5-mile Manhattan 20 Bridges Swim in 8 hours and 23 minutes. Most recently, at the 2026 Winter Swimming World Championships in Finland, he secured 5th place in the 16–19 age group and placed 4th overall in the 4x25m Breaststroke Relay. As he continues to expand his international presence, Arda remains committed to pushing the boundaries of elite open-water racing.

From Bosphorus to Manhattan: Arda’s Path in Open Water

Nevzat Arda Agir began swimming at age 6. From earning the title of intercontinental swimmer to taking on the 20 Bridges of Manhattan, his journey is driven by passion, purpose, and perseverance.
